It isn’t possible for me to write this essay for you accurately because it is supposed to be about you and your worst day. I really hope you take the time to write one on your own, so that it will be more personal. Here is one for your reference anyway. This is a light-hearted story and not as depressing as the title. When you attempt such essays on your own, you can either narrate a true-life experience that was actually bad, or you can make up something and make it humorous for the readers.
THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE
Murphy’s Law states that whatever has to go wrong will go wrong. One bleak day in June made me believe in this statement wholeheartedly. Whenever I recall that day, a shiver passes through me.
School starts everyday at 9.00 am. On this fated day, my parents had important meetings to attend and so, both of them left for work early. I overslept by mistake and woke up at 8.30. I had barely half an hour to get dressed and reach the school, which was twenty minutes away by bus. I managed to make it to the bus stop by 8.45. But, there was a big protest happening on the main road and all the traffic was being diverted. I had to walk for ten minutes to finally catch an auto. By the time I reached school, I was fifteen minutes late for my first lesson. The teacher gave me a warning letter to be signed by my parents. I couldn’t even begin to imagine the scene at home!
The day proceeded smoothly from there until the Games period. We were playing volleyball when suddenly, I got distracted seeing a butterfly. And yes, your guess is right. The ball hit me full on the face, right on my nose. Thankfully, I didn’t bleed and my nose was intact. Have you seen cartoons of stars floating around one’s head? Well, I got to experience that in reality!
I prayed that this was the last of my mishaps, but the universe had different plans for me. When school was finally over, I walked to the bus stop, nursing a very red, very swollen nose. I must have looked like Rudolph the Reindeer. While waiting for the bus, lo and behold! It started raining cats and dogs. I was drenched to the bone. Dripping, I entered the bus. There was only standing room so I hung on for dear life on the upper railings. The bus suddenly braked;I slipped and fell on top of a big lady with about ten shopping bags. It was so difficult getting out. At least I made every one laugh!
Somehow, I finally reached my house, but I couldn’t find my key. Then I remembered that I had left it inside my pencil box, which I had conveniently forgotten in the sports room locker. Drenched and very cold and with a bulbous nose, I had to sit on the doorstep for around two hours, waiting for my parents to come home. I have had my fair share of bad days in my life, but this was one of the worst, where everything was determined to go wrong. I blame Murphy!
