The residents of Delhi had undergone a fiery ordeal of ramshackle mass transport system for almost five decades and a half. They could not have had a better Christian gift from the authorities than the Metro. It came to the town on Christmas eve o n December 24, 2002. It was indeed an occasion for spontaneous celebration for them.
