Essay on 'a visit to a militry camp'

Jamshedpur, Sept. 3: The otherwise quiet army camp in Sonari was abuzz today.
A group of excited students from ADLS Sunshine School and Aditya Institute of Technology lapped up everything that the camp had to offer — from speeches of army officers to architectural and arsenal marvels.
About 100 students got a feel of the camp, how it works and popped some career related questions before army personnel.
They were shown the ashtabhuja, different kind of guns, pistols, rifles and other weapons. They were also told about its uses and importance.
“We approached the army camp for a visit to the camp about a month and recently received the approval. It was necessary for the students to have a hands-on knowledge on defence as many will want to serve the country. Since defence is an unfamiliar territory for the masses, young people often refrain from taking the first step towards it. I heard that the students were very excited after their visit to the camp today and already 25 of them are keen on joining the defence,” said Indrani Singh, the principal of ADLS Sunshine School.
The students were given a presentation on the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun where they learnt about the application process, age limit, training process, criteria, technical entry scheme and scope for postgraduates and MBA.
Demonstration of explosives and search operation were also shared with the students.
“Our motive was to let the students know about defence. There is a need of automobile and mechanical engineers in the army, navy and air force. They were shown a film based on the subject and were made to understand the scope and process to get through to the institute,” said B. Kumar, a faculty member of Aditya Institute of Technology.
But for the students, the best part of the visit was the competition being held between the two institutes. Six students from each institute participated in a gun drill.
“The competition was tough but we enjoyed it to the fullest. We were fortunate to visit the camp as very few get a chance to visit this restricted area. We learnt how to be courageous and discipline. We found an answer to several career related questions,” said Neha Mahanty, a student of ADLS Sunshine.
Hope this helps uh ♥️
