Answer:

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree is a phrase that is typically said in connection with children who show qualities or talents that are similar to those of their parents.

Example: Dan was an older man with back problems, so he disliked having to carry in a car full of groceries. Lifting everything inside was such a pain! But one day when Dan returned from shopping, his neighbor came over to help. Then, the next time, the neighbor’s son helped to carry things inside.

Afterwards, Dan told the boy: “I see that the

apple never falls far from the tree.” In other words, he was saying the boy was like his father—they were both nice and helpful.Have you ever heard the saying the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree? I hear all the time, “you’re just like your mom and dad,” well I strongly believe in that children are a lot like their parents.

When I was about nine years I lost most of my hearing. I found this out at school after having a hearing test. My mom took me to the doctor and I had to take another test which confirmed what the school nurse had said. Well come to find out, my father had the same problem when he was a kid, which is why he wears a hearing aid today. On the ride home my mom had told me “the apple doesn’t fall from the tree” and that’s when it all started.

I went a long time without having any problems. After going into my eight grade year my mom told me how she broke her arm. I just looked at her and said, “Well I guess I should be extra careful then because it’s going to happen to me.” Well about a month before school started I went to a friend’s house. We were skateboarding and I fell. Guess what happened? I broke my arm. When I saw my Mom I looked at her and said, “Well I guess your right; I’m just like you and Dad. You all can’t get hurt or anything that will put me at risk when I’m older! She just laughed at me and said I’m good until I’m about twenty six.

My Mom forgot to mention the fact about when she went to get her driver’s license. She found out that she needed glasses. Well when I went for my driver’s permit I almost failed the eye test. This scared my mom so she took me and had my eyes checked; it turned out that I did in fact have to have glasses.

Every time I hear a new story about my parents it’s just a matter of time before it happens…when I hear those famous words you’re just like your parents.
