Fani cyclone was the most severe tropical storm that originated from tropical depression and hits the Indian state Odisha in the first week of May. Along with Odisha, another state like Bihar and Jharkhand had experienced the intensity of Fani cyclone. The Joint typhoon warning center had eyed over the disturbance that occurred in the Indian ocean. Fani drafted all over the Odisha and caused severe damaged in coastal states. Around 64 people lost their lives and thousands of people became homeless and many Dalit families had to face social discrimination as they were not allowed to enter the shelter homes. Despite these tragedies, the Odisha government received praise from all over the world for maintaining disaster management and keeping the minimum loss.
