I believe in “doing good and being good”. Actually, “Be Good and Do Good” is a quote that John Adams used and our family uses this as a base to life in general.
About two years ago I attended a CU Middle School Wind Ensemble class that was sponsored by the University of Colorado. This workshop lasted for three months and at the end the band performed a concert for parents and friends. I just figured this was a way for me to improve as a French Horn player but something happened after the concert. A director for the university congratulated me fora fine workshop and said he wanted to talk to my parents. As it turned out he wanted four other brass players and me to rehearse once aweek at CU School of Music. The music he selected was very challenging but I kept practicing and before I knew it I could play them. This was the beginning of many other opportunities that have given me confidence and pleasure in life.
I feel being a good person and doing what is right will pay off in the long run. Sometimes it is tempting to join in let’s say throwing spit wads in class or talking behind the teacher’s back. It’s also fun to make others’ laugh but I know I must think before I act. Some kids get alot of attention for all the wrong reasons like being in fights at recess. My parents have always been great role models and they tell me to stay the path and do not get pressured by my peers. Once in a while I do something I shouldn’t. My parents understand it is part of being a kid and growing up. They are cool!
Doing good is much harder then doing bad because there are too many things I am suppose to be good at. There is school, with a variety of classes such as Accelerated Math and Advanced Language Arts, not to mention Science, History and so on. There is not enough hours in the day to “be good” at everything. I also participate on sports and BoyScouts. And then there is Music where one could spend several hours a day to be good or great. Sometimes being a kid gets left out of the picture and this bothers me. I wish teachers and others could follow in my foot steps for a day or two. I feel it’s important to have so outside passions other than school because it makes you well-rounded.
My day of “doing good” begins with either homework or piano practice before school. After school I arrive home for an hour to eat dinner look over my homework and off to Boulder for a rehearsal with The Boulder YouthSymphony. I arrive home at 9:30pm and begin my homework. Some days are shorter and thathelps. A lot goes into doing a good job at everything. Budgeting you time, preparing for aproject or paper, and studying or understanding a variety materials is the answer. I am not perfect, so every so often I leave out some probably because I am overwhelmed. I will always strive to “be good and do good.”
e.g.Sean Larson has a number of things that he is good at like being a good student, boy scout, and musician. Sean has the “Star” rank in boy scouts and is working to get his eagle. He plays French Horn in the Boulder Youth Symphony and is going on a China Tour with them this summer.

Answer:
Do Good Be Good Essay-
Explanation:
- If we do good to others, it is most likely that others will also do good to us. Much against the prevalent notion, most people are not that ungrateful. In any case, we can get the solace and happiness which accompanies a noble deed.
- The story of the dove and the bee is known to every child. Once a hunter took an aim at a dove when it was sitting on the branch of a tree near a tree.
- A bee that was by chance flying there in search of honey, saw that the life of the innocent dove was in danger. The bee at once stung at the hand of the hunter.
- As a result of this, the hunter missed his aim and the bullet did not hit the dove and its life was saved.
- One day, the same dove was flying over the river. Its eyes fell on the surface of the water of the river.
- The dove saw that the same bee as had saved its life had fallen into the water and was struggling to get out of water. Its wings had got wet and it could not fly. So, its life was in danger.
- The dove took a leaf from the tree standing near the river bank and threw it quite close to the bee. The bee climbed up. Its wings got dry and it flew away. The life of the bee was saved because it had done a good turn by helping the dove.
- It is a lesson for all of us to do good to others, if we want that others should also do good to us.
