Dr. Rajendra Prasad

He is one of the architect of Indian constitution , rajender prasad was a great leader of Indian nationalist movement . He was the main president of republic india.He was also awarded by bharat ratna, India's highest civilian award.

He was born on 3 Dec .1884, into a big joint family of mahadev sahay itne siwan district of bihar, near chappra.And his mother name was kamleshwari devi and she was religious women. His parent him under a maulavi for learning Persian language followed by hindi and arithmetic . Rajender prasad was brilliant student since childhood.

He joined the Indian national Congress and was subsequently elected to AICC in 1911

he was elected as president of Indian national Congress during the Bombay session in October 1943.

he died on28 February 1963.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad was a freedom fighter, social and political activist, teacher, lawyer who served as the first president of independent India and was re-elected for consecutive 2 times tenure. Rajendra Prasad was a very close aide to Gandhiji and he also participated in all the movements which were started by Gandhiji right from Champaran Satyagraha to non-co-operation movement and as well as in quit India movement of 1942.

Rajendra Prasad was a successful teacher as well as a lawyer; he started his career as a professor in Muzaffarpur and then changed to become a lawyer in Calcutta high court.
