It is like just one must have and wear the right and left feet shoes as you can't move / walk wearing either left/right shoes. T

Rights and duties are complimentary and inseparable.

If you discharge your duties nicely you will automatically get rights.

Chapter on Fundamental Rights was enshrined in the constitution in starting.

The chapter of Fundamental Duties was added afterwards.

As citizen has rights and duties so has state similar duties.

State government too issued guidelines framed under Directive Principles of State Policy.

Every citizen has some duties to perform towards state.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM

Right and duties are the same thing. That what two sides of same coin MEAN! Its not two different coins, not same face explained differently, its not a government conspiracy.

OK, children, listen VERY closely!

When you are given a toy, you can play with the toy, but you have to do it responsibly. Trust is being placed on you to not hit other kids with it. You have a duty to play nicely, and as long as you play nicely, you have the right to play with the toy.

You are given a gun. You have a right to play with the gun, as long as you dont shoot other people with it.

You are given a right for free speech. As long as you dont try to damage other people with your speech, you have that right.

You have a duty to vote responsibly. As long as you vote responsibly, you have the right to choose any candidate you like.

See what I did there? Its a duty to vote responsibly, not a right, but its a right as long as you do it responsibly.

You have a right to drive a car, as long as you dont endanger other people by being reckless or drunk.

If you become a politician, you have a duty to use your power wisely and for the good of the people, and you have a right to do some decisions for your country that other people do not have.

Rights do not exist in a vacuum. When you grow up, children, you start getting duties. These duties give you power. Power over yourselves, your lives, even over other people. Often these duties look just like rights. You have a right to drive, to drink, to carry, to walk free.

But break those duties, and your rights will have to be taken away, somehow. Its not government that makes and upholds these rules, but people just like you.

If someone breaks and enters your house, you dont defend their right to move freely. You shoot them, or you provide all the evidence you can to the police, so they will be arrested, and their right of moving freely is removed, until they know how to behave themselves.

You mow down people with your car daily, and even without police, a lynchmob will be knocking your door. Drive responsibly, and no one cares.

Rights and duties are what make it possible for people to live in close proximity to each other.

INSHAALLAH it will help you!
