This proverb means that honesty which is a good habit and a quality of a gentleman is used in this proverb.

When we read it we can find that in our routine life we sometimes say lie. But when we say lie we are decreasing our position in the minds of ourselves native people.Honesty shows that we are going through a way which is full of troubles with so much pain and sadness that we will have to face but instead in such a condition a person saying truth or being honest can solve any problem that is in front of them. Because an honest man has a very strong will power which give them enough energy.

Honest man has a very good position in the society.

So, we must say that honesty is the best policy.

We live in society. We have to deal with many persons daily. If we are not fare in our dealings with others, we are not trusted by others.

We must be honest in our dealings with others. An honest man is straightforward and upright in speech and behaviour.

He does not tell lies. He does not try to cheat others. He never steals anything. He does not neglect his duty.

Honesty is one of the greatest virtues of man. It has an important place in human life. It is the foundation of good character.

An honest man is loved and respected by all. A dishonest man may prosper in practical life but in the long run he has to suffer.

As a matter of fact honesty is the best policy.
