hello friend the main difference between the hydrogen atom and a Proton is that there is a one electron in hydrogen atom but there is no electron and proton .
that's why I do you need an agreement while proton is sub atomic particle..

A hydrogen atom has a proton in its nucleus and an electron surrounding it.There are two stable hydrogen ion:-H+ which is proton and H- which is proton surrounding with two electrons around it..
