On a very cold and dark morning, I woke up from bed with a smile in my heart. I could hear my teeth chattering and arms shivering. Normally, I would still be asleep, immersed in my bed full of my stuffed animals. I never would’ve wanted to leave my place of comfort for school.
But today was different. Today, there was something to look forward to after school.
I was filled with joy and excitement because tonight we were going to celebrate my grandpa’s birthday. For some people, Grandpa’s birthday isn’t particularly what you would call a special occasion. However, for me, Grandpa’s birthday meant a lot. Grandpa’s birthday meant it was his special day. Grandpa’s birthday meant we didn’t have to make dinner tonight. Grandpa’s birthday meant pieces of colorful confetti flying everywhere and that the waiters in the restaurant would have to spend hours trying to clean up the restaurant. But most importantly, Grandpa’s birthday was special to me because it was a family reunion.
I have a lot of cousins and that comes from having a lot of aunts and uncles from both my parents’ sides. I don’t get to see some of my cousins often since they live in New Jersey. The only real time we get to see each other is during big occasions like our grandparents’ birthdays. And when we do come together, we talk about the most ridiculous stuff, teasing each other, and asking about what’s going on in our personal lives.
As I saw my cousins and uncles and aunts come into the restaurant, I can feel a sense of happiness mixed in with a pinch of nervousness. Not knowing what to say, I approached them with a stupid smile and waved. However, as time went on, we all started chit-chattering away like we had never been separated. There was so much to catching up to do with my cousins, aunts and uncles. The loud voices of my uncles and aunts This was truly the reason why I enjoyed being at Grandpa’s birthday so much.
And when I hear that “pop!” and the confetti comes flying out and lands on everyone’s hair, the birthday cake, seeing the frustrated look on the waiter’s face and the big smile on my grandpa’s face, I knew it was the moment I got out of bed on a cold morning for. MY COOL GRANDPA'S BIRTHDAY
My grandfather is really a great man. I love him vv.. much, from my deep core of the heart. His birthday was most a welcomed day for me. In early morning, I was first to wish my grandpa as In excitement. I was unable to sleep. I planned many surprises as day outing and cool party at 5 star resort and visit to bombay picnic spot was some places planned by me and my cousin's.
Day was tiring and in evening we all cutted cake at bombay picnic spot at exactly 7:00 clock... I was happy with my cousin's as my planns got successful and my grandpa was happy by my efforts.... Me too was deeply satisfied. I gifted them a beautiful watch. He was smiling then also and I hugged them nicely and on that day smile didn' t disappeared from my grandpa face.
THAT DAY WAS MOST BESTEST DAY IN MY LIFE. LOVE YOU GRANPA:-)
