⚫⚫DURGA PUJA ⚫⚫
_____________⭐

=>As we all know that the Durga puja festival is coming soon... This festival is celebrated on a grand scale in the most part of India.. Durga puja is a festival of " MAA Durga "& in Bengal it is celebrated in a very high standard!! Usually Every year my family celebrates this festival by taking fast of nine days and my mom is very sensior about this!! Durga puja is celebrated in the worship of Durga, a Hindu goddess who is the form of Shakti. I live in Patna therefore, Like any previous year, Patna is in the grip of festive mood. With the opening of veil on Saptami, this festival will become more vibrant with people from all section to enjoy. The organizing committees on their behalf has left no stone unturned. Unique pandals have came up in every corner of the city. The coveted and central attraction of the city, Dak Bunglow Pandal will be embracing spirituality theme this year. A massive pandal of 100 feet in height, in the form of Shore temple of Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu) is coming up there. The Boring Road Puja Committee will showcase its pandal, of 75 feet high, in the form of famed Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya, a World Heritage Site, with the idol of Gautam Buddha at the top. However, the biggest pandal of height 110 feet is coming up at Rukunpura, which has the theme of ISKON temple, Mayapur (West Bengal). Several other theme includes Prem Mandir of Mathura at Sheikhpura and the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Building at Jagdeo path. Unique street lighting will showcase themes like corruption, Anna Hazare and cartoons.

=>Patnaites are sure to get a grand glimpse of these massive preparations after Saptami.!!

I am a hardcore pandal hopper so I may not be able to make this answer sound fun but I can intimate you of an effective way to spend Durga Puja in Kolkata.

- have a plan of action. Divide each day according to area you want to cover ie. north , south, central kolkata and chandannagar, etc.

- hire a car. if you seriously want to see as many pandals as you want you need a vehicle to your disposal.

- carry water and snacks, rather make food stops often because you need to stay hydrated and come on Bengali food!

- kindly sort out your loo woes in advance if you are planing to stay out or travel the entire day.ashtami is meant only for anjali, eating bhog and sitting in your nearest pandal and checking out guys and gals (whatever floats your boat!). go to college square with friends and chill.

- on dashami (the last day) make sure you have enough energy to dance during 'Bhashaan' and the balls to finally approach the person you have been eyeing all pooja. Trust me I have seen soulmates meet during Durga Puja.
