                India is a South Asian country. India is a peninsula, covered by three major water bodies- the Bay of Bengal on the East of India, the Arabian Sea on the Western side of India, and the Indian Ocean on the Southern.
                It is the seventh-largest country in the whole world. Indian is densely populated with over more than a billion people. It is also the second highest in population after China. It has 29 states and 7 Union Territories. The Andaman and Nicobar islands are also a part of India.
               India's national anthem is Jana Gana Mana. The Indian flag is also known as the Tricolour. It consists of three colours, orange, white and green. In the middle there is a very important symbol, taken from the ancient history of fight for freedom- The Ashok Chakra in indigo blue.
              India is one of the coutries with a very important history, and the fight for freedom. Long ago, many empires rules upon us. Some of the very important of them are- The Mughals, The Marathas, The Khiljis, and many more. The Britishers entered India after the decline of The Mughal Empire.The Britishers ruler for a very long period of 200 years, until we got freedom in 1947. The freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Shubhas Chandra Bose, etc, are of great significance to the Indian culture. We celebrate the Independence Day on 15th Auguest every year.
                India has some of the most beautiful tourist attraction places such as The Taj Mahal, The Red Fort, The Mysore Palace. Gol Gumbaz, etc. India is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It is very rich in its culture.
