Hi mate!

Weaving took place mostly in India...It was going very well....Raw materials were brought and were nicely weaved... When the British Raj took place, the Britishers banned the sale of raw materials from India to England....So the weavers of India had to sale it to Britishers at low cost and buy from huge costs....So weavers stopped thier jobs and those who wanted were forced by the Britishers to stop...... Otherwise there was a very great Indian weaving traditions......

Hope this helps you.......
