Mahatma Gandhi was born in October 2, 1869 in the Subcontinent in the city Porbandar. He died due to a fatal gun shot wound in January 30, 1948 in Delhi. His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was a lawyer, politician, activist and writer. He fought his way peacefully to get Hindus free from British rule. His life is full of up and downs. He devoted his whole life for the struggle of independence of the Indians. His strong character and strength inspired millions of people to fight for their rights. That is what inspired me the most too. To stand against anything that tries to oppress people against their will and to devote my life solely for the betterment of people.

He was the mass mobilizer in the freedom struggle of our country India. And his way of demanding freedom was through truth and non- violence. At that time the world had witnessed the horrific effects of Second World War and then there was Gandhi who refused to use any kind of violent practices to attain freedom. He was the leader of the people and believed in the development of all sections of the society. Therefore, he inspires me to be truthful, he inspires me to be a leader and to good for the welfare of the people and our country.
