My first day at school in the new class was not a as excited as I had expected. Most of my old classmates with whom I have been studying since my VI standard were absent. Most of the subject teachers too were new. The class teacher told us about the change in study pattern. CCE system has been replaced with annual examination system. We won’t have Formative Assessment any more. Then each subject teacher made us familiar with the syllabuses of his or her own subject. There was less rush at the canteen during the break. Even the canteen contractor has been changed. Even the bus that I will travel by has been changed! I did not like the changes much!
I must not form my opinion so early. After all it was my very first day! Surely with time I will get used to the new changes. But one thing is sure I must start devoting more time to self-studies as with each higher class, subjects become more complex.
