Forever My Favorite Place
There are many people who have a house to go home to everyday, a place where they eat, sleep, and live. But there are only a handful of people who have a home to go home to everyday and I count myself blessed to be a part of those few. A home is so much more than the tangible aspects that make up a house. A home is where lasting memories are made, the best laughs and biggest smiles are had, and the most love is felt. That is undoubtedly true for my home. From game nights to movie marathons to cooking as a family in the kitchen, all of my favorite memories have been made inside the walls of my home. Though these memories may not be too extravagant they are the ones I will remember because they happened inside my home with the people I love the most. I won’t remember my address or the color of the house when I get older, but I will remember the happiness and genuine love I felt inside my home. My house is small; there are some light bulbs that are out, stains in the carpet, and cracks in the wall. No, our house will never be perfect and that doesn’t matter. My house is a home and that is so much more important. My home is a place of safety, of peace, and of unity. I never have to succumb to the hardships of the world when I am in my home, I can be myself without judgement. The troubles of life seem to become lessened when I am at home with my family, because of the love that is felt at home. My house is really just the structure that the world sees but my home is untouched and unjudged by the harshness in the world, which is what makes it special. As college is quickly approaching and I will soon have to move into a new house, I am nervous. Not for having to move into a new house but trying to create a new home. Although it will be hard to be without my family and the people who have been a huge part of making my house a home for the past 18 years, I know that a home can truly be created in any house. With a little friendship, time, experiences, and lots of love my new house will be a home. All homes are different, mine is different from my neighbor and neighbor’s is different than the person who lives across the street but what makes a home so special is the people you share it with. My home is my favorite place because the people inside are my best friends. All homes are special but will forever be my favorite.

My house is in Janakpuri, New Delhi. It is a quite new house. It was built only one year back. It has two storeys. My grandparents and my uncle live on the ground floor. On the ground floor we have a drawing room, two bedrooms, and a kitchen. We live on the first floor. On the first floor we have three bed rooms and a kitchen. It has also a dining room, a study room and a guest room. My sister and study in the study room. The rooms are well-lighted and airy. All the floors have marble tiles.
