jaipur is a city in rajasthan in india.it is the largest city of rajasthan.it is also known as the pink city. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II founded the city on 18 november , 1727.he was the ruler of amber.the city was named after him.all the monuments and other important buildings in this city are all painted red.jaipur has a semi arid climate.it receives rainfall in the months of june , july , august and september.the religion followed by the majority of the people living in jaipur is hinduism.

there are many amazing monuments in jaipur.some of them are  Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort and the Jaipur Zoo.

the hawa mahal was used by the kings to have fresh air.the city palace is the place where the king of jaipur lives.jantar mantar is a scientific  place.it has all sorts of gadgets that were used to measure the time , lattitude , longitude etc.the jaipur zoo has many pectaculiar animals which are worth seeing.the most famous animal of jaipur is the jaipurian langurs.the food eaten by the people of jaipur is very rich in oil and spice.dal baati churma is a dish which is very famous in jaipur.
