1.the national food security bill is the brainchild of congress president Sonia Gandhi.
2.the bill was originally introduced in parliament in December 2011. the government has tired to take up the bill in Parliament last week also but could not opposition members disrupted the house,demand pm resignation over the cold blocks issue . 
3.the proposal bill aim to be provide legal right over subsiding food grain to 67 % of population.
4. nutritional  support to the pregnant woman without limitation among other changes proposed in the bill...
