Myths and legends: what are they? Stories that have been narrated over many years and have been very popular around the world for a very long period are known as myths and legends. The myths and legends that are told are the subject of debate. Myths and legends are similar and distinct in a variety of ways. Myths are stories that explain things or happenings in the real world that typically arise from some entity or force, such a deity. This is a crucial distinction between myths and legends. Legends are based on stories that may or may not be factual. To put it another way, legends are more authentic than myths.

The majority of King Arthur's exploits lacked the mythical quality of The Greek Myths. The myths of the Greeks had tales that were more fantastical and idealistic than those of King Arthur. An illustration would be the mention of events that seem utterly implausible in the Orpheus narrative. One aspect of the story was when Orpheus dealt with Hades, who was regarded as the god of the underworld, and was able to use his music to help him through any challenges he encountered. Most Greek myths center on the topics I've just described.

They might have been designed to be incredible but exciting. With the exception of some of the stories, legends like those of King Arthur were told more truthfully. In actuality, King Arthur was seen as a realistic figure. Ruler Arthur was praised for being a great king in many of the tales about him. King Arthur was more believable because it detailed how he was the son of the illustrious King Arthur in tales like King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. However, there are legends relating to Merlin the Wizard and his part in King Arthur's life.

Due to Merlin's ability to possess magical abilities, some stories about him were undoubtedly untrue. There are several similarities between myths and legends.
