The Millennial and Z Generation have had access to new electronics and gadgets that other generations never dreamt possible. As new affordable electronic devices are being designed, public school systems are allowing the new equipment into the classroom. Instructors use certain electronics to teach lessons, practice literary activities, and simply for educational games. However, young children with developing brains should not be exposed to these electronics at such an early age. The early years of a child are essential because one incident can affect the child emotionally, physically and socially. The mind is a very powerful tool that needs proper formation and should not be interfered in this process with smartphones and tablets. Although the internet has been a useful tool to the education system with its mass amount of information, it has also immensely affected students negatively by producing a decline in critical reading and writing skills, distracting the learners, and by damaging children socially. Only 10 years ago, teachers used hands on lessons that engaged the young students and technology was not a predominant factor in the classroom.
