Hey hello mate !!

In ancient times, man was a helpless toy in the hands of nature. But with the blessings of science, he has now become the master of land, water and sky. With the help of science and technology, man has been inventing new things to acquire more and more and assume greater power to make life easier, enjoyable and comfortable.

On the other hand, there has been a growing fear in some sections of our society about the extensive use and influence of technology on our lives. And now we have brought technology in the field of education in the form of online classes. As l mentioned earlier, technology simplifies our lives and make it easier. Similarly, Online classes are highly liberal and allows you to learn at your own pace. But it is not suitable for young children, teenagers, and young adolescents as it ultimately makes the children lazy. Sure, flexibility is what makes online learning unique and convenient for students. However, it’s your responsibility to organize everything else in between and to manage your time efficiently. No one will remember you to log in to the online classroom, and finish the assignments on time. You need to be motivated and disciplined enough to finish your online program.

Teachers play a pivotal role in instilling discipline and providing a sense of direction to students in a traditional learning environment. But this is generally missing in online classes as we are readily given options for muting the audio and video which denies the teachers to know the students and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and guide students in a better way.

While in the beginning, some may see the lack of one-to-one interaction with teachers and colleagues as an advantage, but in long term, the students may find it difficult to share their views and clarify their own queries with the teacher in the online platform. Even though we can contact through social media, you’ll never have the connection and intimacy that live communication has. While on school, students get to hone their social skills while interacting with both their teachers and colleagues. It creates a routine which the students have to follow, and in turn, this will bring punctuality and discipline. This makes traditional learning more helpful and effective than home schooling.

All subjects also cannot be taught online. While you can study many different subjects, some cocurricular activities like hands on training, dance, music, sports etc. can’t be adjusted to the online format. Also, the classes that include labs, clinical practice, or performances cannot be done without a traditional campus class. Having a traditional learning environment for these activities will provide access to equipment and materials.

Apart from this, we are also facing challenges like affordability of mobile phones and network connectivity. All the sections of people cannot afford smart android phones or other devices for online classes. And mainly, it is a serious problem in the families of two or more children due to lack of devices.

There is also a huge question mark about mental and physical health as the students are spending several hours daily slouched in front of the devices for schoolwork. Some may even experience stress, tingling sensations, headaches, muscle fatigue, and decreased performance because of bad posture.

In online classes, we are also required to ensure cybersecurity as the students are unaware about the atrocious side of internet and social media and may indulge in cybercrime unknowingly.

At last, but not least, there are some school experiences you won’t gain in any other place. Field trips, school activities, and different clubs are just some of those experiences. From each of those activities, you’ll take life lessons that will be beneficial in your future.

Hope it helps !!

Drop some thanks ♡
