Our current social as well as economic system promotes competition. Everyone comptetes to gain power over others, gain more resources or access to more resources than others. Competition helps in providing better quality results as everyone comptetes to make better than other. (Note it, we will use later)To accomplish this there are many ways which can easily be divided into two kinds. One is hardworking, other is cheating. Second one is obviously simpler and requires less efforts. Here the second one is corruption. With time, citizens realized that they can use corruption and there is little or no preventions of the same. Then began, the death of system as began competition in corruption making best results as we see today. This was also affected by other factors. For example, people already having power used corruption to make more. Better corruption, better growth. But we still relay on old methods for its prevention which includes asking people to be honest.Under the current system almost every prevention of corruption is not useful as corruption is a flaw in the system itself, which can't change until we change the system itself. So, public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption is helpful in only getting facebook likes or election votes with no really productive results. How it helps in getting likes and votes?Post a picture of some politician whose proved to be corrupted, with some swearing caption and see the stats(okay, now you will also receive facebook reactions). :PYou do that every time in every election, read manifestos of political parties and most of them say they they will address the problem of corruption too. But, I think you know what happens, right?! :D
