National integration is crucial for creating a strong, united country which is an essential precondition for all progress and prosperity.

Since the basic functions of the school is to prepare the society for a change, its role is to ensure national integration is rightly unenviable. In schools it is the teacher who is in charge of training the minds of students and shaping the morals of the community.

The teacher is no doubt the conscience keeper of the nation. So let the teacher think what they want the future citizens and leaders to be like. To carry out such an important responsibility, the teachers themselves should first rid themselves of narrow prejudices, regional and parochial feelings and consideration.
