Social inclusion of persons with disabilities

Social inclusion is like a nectar for the disabled people. In the past people with disabilities had to face social exclusion, which did them only harm in place of doing any good. Exclusion compelled them to remain confined to their own homes or special institutes. For example the blind had to live with the blind; the deaf had to be confined with other deaf people. It did not do any good to them. They were deprived of interacting with the normal people and learn adaptation to the challenges of life. This deteriorated their condition and they could not learn, achieve, and accomplish much.

However, the modern times are different; social inclusion of the disabled is not only scientifically right, but the current collective consciousness of the people favors this theory. Social inclusion fills the disabled people with confidence; as they live with normal people, they learn their ways of life and adapt to them. No wonder, the disabled people have been successfully working shoulder to shoulder with normal people. They work with them, learn with them, play with them, share their joys and sorrows with them. This social inclusion has made their life more meaningful, fulfilling, and purposeful.

In conclusion it can be said social inclusion of disabled people is not only scientifically and logically correct, but humane and more virtuous.
