स्वच्छ भारत अभियान भारत सरकार द्वारा चलायी गयी एक स्वच्छता मिशन है। यह अभियान 2 अक्टूबर 2014 को महात्मा गांधी की 145 वें जन्मदिन के अवसर पर भारत सरकार की ओर से आधिकारिक तौर पर शुरू किया गया था| यह राजघाट, नई दिल्ली जो की महात्मा गांधी का अंतिम संस्कार का स्थान है, में शुरू किया गया था। भारत सरकार २ अक्टूबर 2019 तक भारत को स्वच्छ भारत बनाने का उद्देश्य रखी है जो की महात्मा गांधी की 150 वीं जयंती होगी|

यह एक राजनीति मुक्त अभियान है और देशभक्ति से प्रेरित है। यह प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए एक जिम्मेदारी है और इस देश को स्वच्छ देश बनाने के लिए हर भारतीय नागरिक की भागीदारी की आवश्यकता है| इस अभियान को सफल बनाने के लिए विश्व स्तर पर लोगों ने पहल की है। शिक्षक और स्कूल के छात्र इसमें पूर्ण उत्साह और उल्लास के साथ शामिल हो रहे है और 'स्वच्छ भारत अभियान' को सफल बनाने का प्रयास कर रहे है| इसके अंतर्गत, मार्च 2017 में उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने एक और स्वच्छता पहल की शुरूआत की है। उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के सभी सरकारी कार्यालयों में चबाने वाले पान, गुटखा और अन्य तम्बाकू उत्पादों पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है।

When I look at clean foreign cities and rural areas in movies, I wonder how beautiful and clean this place is. The snowy mountains of Switzerland, the windows adorned with flowers from Italy and the sandy beaches of Australia make us enchant with our beauty and cleanliness. In our India, there is no shortage of such unprecedented tourist sites, historical monuments, heritage sites and majestic castles, but why do not they look like foreign counterparts?

Cleaning the country is not the only government work, it is our responsibility too. We should have a sense of goodness in people but here is our basic problem. We blame the government, others, and do nothing themselves. I have learned one thing from the father of our country.

Its aim is to create global awareness in the rural areas for the general public and it is designed to connect with public health.

so we should always keep our surrounding neat and clean.

There are a few simple things we need to do to clean our India.

1. Throw garbage in the garbage cans

2. Do not encourage spitting, if you are doing it, immediately condemn people.

3. Avoid plastic cover, plastic disposables

4. When you go shopping, take a bag with you, learn the same people around you

5. Development of more trees
