Swachch Bharat Mission .. (Essay)
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched Mission Swacch Bharat on October 2nd with an aim to create a Clean India of Gandhi's dreams. The dateline has been set for 2019 which is the year of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. The mission was envisaged as a mass movement which was also to be linked to economic activity and every citizen is expected to pledge to contribute 100 hours a year towards this cleanliness drive. All government departments will actively participate in this mission and offices up to Panchayat level will be involved in this drive that is to be conducted from September 25th till Diwali. The principle at work is that if the people of India clean their homes in due course around Diwali every year, then why could they not adopt this attitude towards overall cleanliness and opt for a Swacch Bharat. The Prime Minister has called for a change in governance attitude geared towards hygiene and sanitation, his pursuit of cleanliness has also been tied to the thrust of an economic activity, contributing to GDP growth, reduction in healthcare costs and generate further employment. The cleanliness drive will be crucial in promoting tourism and global interest in India because world class levels of hygiene and sanitation will be required to bolster India into the august company of top fifty global tourist destinations. This would bring about a seismic shift in the way in which India is perceived globally and contribute towards the building of its image as an emerging superpower. Solid waste and waste water management through the public-private-partnership model will be initiated in 500 towns and cities across India. The phrase 'a clean India' is not just of metaphorical significance but it also refers to the actual cleaning of the deplorable condition in which the country has fallen. Modi has commented that a clean India is not possible unless each and every citizen chips in by doing his share to keep the country clean. The real question to be posed here is how effective can this drive actually be. As soon as we step out of the house, after having gone through meticulous cleaning rituals for our personal health, we do not think twice about dumping our trash openly on the road or littering the streets. Self-hygiene and cleanliness never extends to the space outside our homes which we keep spotlessly clean. We forget everything that we practice in our own homes once we step outside and then the whole world becomes a large dustbin waiting for our trash. The public transport, the basic amenities and the rights to which we are all entitled is shared property of the Indian citizenry and that means it is our responsibility to keep what use together as clean as possible. We draw comparisons between Japan's Kyoto and India's Kashmir but we cannot just choose certain areas and draw empty comparisons. All of us need to work together to ensure that we keep our cities clean and roads clear of trash. It is the home we live in and that is how we should treat our country.

swatch bharat mission or CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA project was started by our Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 2 october,15 to make India a clean and green country. This project also has a deadline on 2 october 2022 i.e. after 8 years. This project also has an advantage for our future generations.......THESE ARE SOME POINTS WHICH U CAN INCLUDE IN UR ESSAY
