Introduction
Taj Mahal is a one of the great Indian historical monument which attracts many people’s mind from all over the world every year.The meaning of the Tajmahal is Crown of the palace.it is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan(reigned 1628–1658), to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.she was very beautiful and very much lovable to the king Shah Jahan.The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17 hectare.It is situated at 2.5 km away from the Agra Fort. It is one of the greatest and highly attractive monuments of the world which has been mentioned as the 7th wonders of the world.
The Taj Mahal is known as the symbol of love and devotion of the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan to Mumtaz Mahal.
Thousands of visitors come to see this wonderful building of Love in Agra every year. Thousands of artists, artisans and workers worked for twenty years to complete it. About 20 crores of rupees were spent on it. The beauty of the Taj smiles in the silvery night of the full moon.

The Taj Mahal is in several lists of world wonders, the Taj Mahal is not only one of the largest tourist attractions in India, it is also the most well-known example of Mughal architecture. It is described as “the most famous tomb in the world,” it reflects the pride and identity of Indian Muslims as an example of the achievements of the age of Mughal rule, According to UNESCO, the tomb is recognized as “the jewel of Muslim art in India.” The Taj Mahal’s design incorporates elements of Islamic, Turkish, Persian and Indian architecture. The white marble of the structure takes on subtle variations of tint and tone at different times of the day. the Taj Mahal was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Pollution, however, has been yellowing the white marble and the Indian government has enforced a 4,000-square-mile area, the Taj Trapezium Zone, around the structure with strict emissions standards.

The Taj Mahal is a complex of astonishing visualization. People from all walks of life have a fascination with the Taj Mahal. No matter what nationality, preference of religion or lifestyle, people will be mesmerized by this breath taking complex. (Ahmed A. 1993). Scholars, Scientist Geologist, Historians, Poets, photographers, and painters all elaborated in discussion and contributed their opinions pertaining to this wonder of the world. Studies also have been conducted by geologist in the past and by historians as well. Although I never visited The Taj Mahal but I can honestly say in recent weeks my findings have triggered a desire to visit the complex one day. I will add this journey to my list of things to do. The Taj Mahal is in Agra India which is located north of India. The Construction started in 1630 and was completed in 1653. The main dome, above the central ball, rests on a central drum like shape which is surrounded by four octagonal towers each tower supports a smaller, domed shaped pavilion. The central inner dome is approximately 80 feet (24.4 meters) high, surrounded by a raised outer dome 200 feet (61 meters) high, providing a long smooth slim profile to the exterior. Located at the top of the central dome you will see a brass finial which sits 56 feet (17.1 meters) high. The complex is seating on and surrounded by 17 acres (6.9 hectares) of gardens with exotic plants trees and flowers. The trees are aligned symmetrical which provide a pathway along the canal (Neil Stevenson, 2007). One can describe Islamic architecture by its reliance on concise geometry, utilization of symmetry, balance and calligraphy. Calligraphy in the Muslim community is considered of the highest form of artistic expression and can be seen through out the Taj Mahal complex (Ahmed, A 1993). The calligraphy writings found on the Taj Mahal are derived from the Quran. The Taj Mahal’s calligraphy writings were stretched by the carvers in order to look more like patterns and maintain the symmetry found throughout the complex.
