Answer:

i have skydived over the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, skinny dipped in the piranha infested waters of the Amazon River in Brasil, and swam with great white sharks off the coast of South Africa, but nothing scared me more than bungee jumping. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Do one thing every day that scares you” and I have tried to employ that philosophy throughout my life. When I visited Macau a couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to jump from the world’s highest bungee at the Macau Tower. I have never been more frightened, which is why I knew I had to do it.

It was time for my class 2, we were all doing our work, when some senior class students came to our class and asked whom to take part in dance, raise their hands. I raised my hand and one of the senior saw me and called me to her side and she called another girl and took us to a class on the ground floor. Actually they were collecting 2 girls from each section of the second class for the award function day and the teachers wrote our names and made us practice on a song called Deep Deep.

One day I came to know from my class teacher that I am too about to get the subject topper award. I was very happy that day, as I went to the ground floor for dance, I came to know that just after the award distribution we had our dance. Everything seemed to be quite difficult because we had to wear our school dress for the award and a separate dress for the dance. After few days, our teacher told us to go to the 5th floor because it was the practice day for the performers performing on the award day. That day, I decided to go to the award line and so I went to the award line. The next day again we had the practice as the previous day and this time I went with the Dance team to practice. I kept handling the situation in the same way and also asked my teachers whether I should wear uniform or costume on the final day.

Finally the award function day came, awardees were told to sit in a separate room and I and 2 more girls from dance team were getting the award, sat there as our teacher told us to. The teacher distributing the award took my name to collect the award but I was not able to collect it as I was wearing the costume for the dance. I thought that I had lost  the opportunity of the award. I was quite disappointed that day. I was very frightened about what I will tell my parents about it. My parents thought I was lying about the award as I returned empty handed. But I told them everything truly and they were sad and disappointed too. Next day when I went to school my teacher suddenly called me in front of the whole students and gave me my award and said "Congrats Prisha". And the whole class and teachers clapped for me.

Even though I haven't been able to see many hands clapping for me, that day was still very special for me. I am proud of myself that I became brave and told all the truth to my parents and also because an 8 year old girl handled the situation nicely all by herself.
