It is a national level campaign run by the Indian Government to cover all the backward statutory towns to make them clean. This campaign involves the construction of latrines, promoting sanitation programmes in the rural areas, cleaning streets, roads and changing the infrastructure of the country to lead the country ahead. This campaign was officially launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 145th anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi on 2birth of October in 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi.

Waste management is an important issue in today's world which is very much important for the modern society. The waste which we create should be proper disposed to some special places where there should be the minimum amount of pollution should prevail from the place. By contributing to a better waste management we can get a cleaner and greener India for the future generations to prevail in this country.
