Answers
The poem “Any Women” opens with the central metaphor of the house. The metaphorical image of mother revolves around the metaphor of a house. The poem says that it is because of the presence of a mother that a house gets complete. Her values and importance are ignored until she is present, but when she is more then her importance gets highlighted. A mother stands for being the foundation of the household who is loving, caring and supporting as well. She lays her warm and helping hands over the family and the children and helps them at their needs. She holds the family firm and doesn't allow anyone to wander. A mother performs uncountable works throughout her life and doesn't complain about any. She looks after the house, decorates it, prepares meals, makes the bed and looks after every arrangement. The poet prays to the god to keep her alive till the children grow.
