Raikas are a camel herding community found in the Indian state of Rajasthan, in the Sadri village.

They have been inhabitants of the place for centuries now.

They are renowned for using camel wool for making carpets, and selling other camel products such as camel milk.

 Their occupation is however facing extinction, due to government imposed restrictions, in the present times.

Raika are a community of people of the Indian state of Rajasthan who are known to be the primary Camel herders of the state.

However the Maru, a group in Raikas community rears camels where the Raikas are found to rear Sheep and Goats.

Raikas are depended on cattle rearing and small level of agriculture.

Agriculture is certainly meager in a state like Rajasthan which is one of the states that get minimum rainfall throughout the year.
