IN ENGLISH:-Every year, I visit one or the other
hill station during summer. Last summer, I went to Shimla. I caught a bus from Chandigarh. The bus passed through many tunnels, which were quite dark and awesome.
As the bus reached the outskirts of Shimla, all the passengers in the bus began to appreciate being welcomed by wafts of cool, soothing breeze. From the Shimla bus stand, I left straight for my uncle’s house. My uncle is a forest officer at Shimla.
I was welcomed by my aunt who is a very generous, hospitable lady and loves me very much. It was a pleasant surprise to my aunt as I went there without any prior intimation. My aunt phoned my uncle at once and he arrived within a few minutes. He was very glad to see me.
The next day, my uncle took me in his jeep. We passed through a dense forest of pine trees. The leaves of the trees were wavering in the wind and birds sitting in them were singing sweet songs.
We also saw many gurgling rivulets and springs. He asked me to look at the snow capped mountain peaks which were situated at some distance. We also saw a number of wild animals like deer, jackals, foxes, rabbits and others in the forest. We also visited the Jakhoo Temple.
I lived at Shimla for about a month. I had daily morning walks and exercise. As I returned home, my mother was in particular, very happy as she saw that I had, after all, become a fine figure.
IN MARATHI:-दरवर्षी, मी उन्हाळ्यात एक किंवा दुसर्या हिल स्टेशनला जातो. गेल्या उन्हाळ्यात मी शिमलाला गेलो होतो. मी चंदीगड येथून एक बस पकडले. बसेस अनेक बोगदेमधून प्रवास करत होती, जी थोडी गडद आणि भयानक होती.
बस बसने शिमलाच्या उपनगरापर्यंत पोहोचल्यावर बसच्या सर्व प्रवाशांनी थंड, सौम्य ब्रीझच्या वाफेने स्वागत केले. शिमला बस स्टँडवरून मी माझ्या काकांच्या घरासाठी सरळ सोडले. माझे काका म्हणजे शिमला येथील वन अधिकारी आहेत.
माझ्या मामीने माझे स्वागत केले जे खूप उदार आणि अगम्य महिला आहे आणि मला खूप आवडतात. माझ्या मावशीबद्दल मी आश्चर्यचकित झालो कारण मी कोणत्याही पूर्वसूचनाशिवाय तेथे गेलो होतो. माझे मावशी एकदा माझ्या काकांना फोन केला आणि तो काही मिनिटांत येऊन पोहोचला. मला ते पाहून मला आनंद झाला.
दुसर्या दिवशी, माझ्या काकांनी मला त्याच्या जीपमध्ये नेले आम्ही झुरदार झाडांच्या घनदाट जंगलातून जात होतो. झाडांच्या पानांनी वेगात ढकलले होते आणि त्यांच्यात बसलेले पक्षी गोड गात गायन करत होते.
आम्ही देखील अनेक गारलिंग रिव्हविल आणि झरे पाहिले. त्याने मला थोडं अंतराने वसलेल्या बर्फवृक्षाच्या पर्वत शिखरेकडे पाहण्यास विचारले. जंगलात आढळणारे जंगली जनावरे, जंगली जनावरे, कोल्हा, लोह, ससे आणि इतर जंगल आम्ही जाखु मंदिरला भेट दिली.
मी सुमारे एक महिना शिमलामध्ये राहात होतो. मी दररोज सकाळी चालत होतो आणि व्यायाम करतो. मी घरी परतलो तेव्हा माझ्या आईला विशेषतः खूप आनंद झाला, कारण माझ्या लक्षात आले की माझ्याजवळ एक उत्तम आकृती आहे.
