                   A Visit to A Book-Fair

Last month I visited a book-fair. It was held at Pragati Maidan. It was arranged by the National Book Trust of India. I with my friends went to see the fair. There were several book-stalls managed by different publishing houses. It was a matter of delight to watch different stalls. There were local publishers, national publishers and international publishers. The people from different parts of the country had converged there. The stalls displayed children’s books, subject-oriented books, language and literature books, books on science and technology, books on law, finance, management and medical science. The book fair attracted a large number of men, women and children. Every stall was impressive. What attracted us the most was the seating arrangement. I purchased a number of books for my general reading. After having gone around the stalls, we had a cup of coffee. As the clock struck seven, I walked back home. The visit to the fair was very fruitful and enjoyable. I am of the view that more and more book-fairs should be organised for the benefit of reading public.
