Discipline

The word "Discipline" comes from the word "Disciple" which means a learner. So, discipline means learning a code of conduct. It means learning to obey and observe certain rules and regulations which are necessary to have a peaceful life. Thus, discipline means a training that teaches self control, obedience and cooperation.

Discipline is one of the most essential qualities of life. It plays an important role in Every Walk of life. It is the greatest law of nature. It is also the symbol of Civilization and the backbone of character.

Discipline plays an important role everywhere in school, family, office, military and nature. Nature follows a strict discipline, every object of nature works according to the fixed principles. The sun rises in the east and sets in the West and the earth continues moving around the sun are some of the greatest examples of discipline followed by nature.

Discipline in family is most important. Home is the nursery where we learn the first lesson in discipline. We learn it through obedience to our parents and elders. The most desirable quality in the arm forces is that of discipline. A soldier must do whatever he is commanded to do.

Discipline is equally important in schools and colleges. Students must learn to respect the teachers and learn manners. Discipline is thus a code of rules applicable to all spheres of life. It must be learnt and practiced.

Discipline is very important in one's life.It is the rules or guidelines which should be followed by each and every person.It is the right way of doing things in a well behaved manner.Life without discipline is incomplete and unsuccessful.We should respect and follow our elders.We should always be in discipline and obey the orders of our parents and teachers to be successful in our life.We should never deny any words of our parents.

Importance of Discipline:-

Jim Rohn has beautifully said "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment".There is no achievement that was accomplished without discipline.Being disciplined means knowing optimal time-management,self control,knack of making best choices,being focused,no procrastination,always making more attempts in the field you want to advance, observing moral and ethics.A Disciplined person doesn't have to be told to do the good things,he himself does them.Anyone who is not disciplined, can't hope to be an achiever at all.Discipline helps in making a person's life peaceful and progressive.In society there is a great need for discipline.Discipline gives us an opportunity to learn, experience and grow.
