My First Wages
Earning money for the first time is an unforgettable
experience. I vividly remember the day I earned my first wages. I was studying
in +2 class at that time. I was known among my friends for being sincere and
studious (the challenging circumstances had helped me focus on my studies). So
one day a friend came to my house with someone he was known to. He asked me,
"Are you interested to teach a class 10 student History?"
I immediately said, "Yes!"
So I began teaching. After a month, I was given
a few hundred rupees and some used clothes of the father of the girl. I was too
innocent and naive at that time; so I did not object to the old clothes.
However, I was exceedingly ecstatic over the money I received. I bought the
complete set of books of Swami Vivekananda's books that I read many
times.
I always believed that we need to be
financially independent.Specially for girls it is important to have regular income and saving.When I was in Class 12th,I started to teach tution to my neighbour's children.I received Rs.2000 for teaching two children.I went to temple and Rd.200 to god.Then deposited the rest money to bank.Later when I graduated and joined a good company.My first salary was Rs.7000.I have some amount to mother to deposit in temple.Rest one one thousand to Mummy papa and brother.Three thousand rupees were deposited to bank.I think we need to save some money also and not waste money in leisure
