Railways are the most preferred mode of transportation in the world. They provide quick and affordable means for travelling as well as transporting goods between faraway places. They are the nerves of a thriving economy of a country.
I got the chance to visit a railway station last week as I went there to welcome my grandparents who were visiting us for the weekend. As we reached the railway station, my father looked for a parking space to park his car while I stood in the queue near the entrance to buy platform tickets for us. Adjacent to me was a long queue of people in front of the ticket booking window. Some policemen also stood near the windows to keep a check on anti-social elements like pickpockets, thieves etc.
Before entering the platform, we looked up at the information board to check the platform at which my grandparent’s train was going to arrive. Lucky for us, the train was going to come on the first platform itself, so we would not have to walk far. There was a large crowd of passengers on the platform waiting for the arrival of their train. Some of the passengers were carrying cumbersome luggage while others seemed to be travelling with light bags.
There were some stalls and hawkers on the platform. They were selling food items and cold & hot drinks as well as magazines and books. I could see a few children pleading with their parents to buy comic books and funny papers.
My visit to railway station:
My visit to railway station was one of the most memorable and a good journey, it was a great time spending there and also we all know that railway station is one of the means of transportation, traveling in a train is more prefered then going in a car, at my vist I found many people at the railway station and also there were nearly thousands of people inside and also everyone were waiting to the train to move to their native, tour.
I found there were not one or two trains but there were many trains and there was timings for the train for each places and I found people visiting the train according to the time and also my visit to railway station was once till now and I wish to keep traveling and moving in a train for many times.
Talking about my vist to railway station was a hill station, I visited the ooty railway station, Ooty is one of the best and famous tourists place in India and also most people wish to have a journey in train because the trains of ooty hill station are very special and they are steam engine there is no modern trains till now and those trains are having a greater life and also safe traveling between the hills there are many cave tunnels in which the train travel though them.
