My Motherland:
My Motherland is Sri Lanka. It is an island situated in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka is known as the pearl of Indian Ocean. People from other countries who see the beauty of Sri Lanka will be very much delighted.
Mahaweli river is the longest river of our country. Kelani,Walawe and Kalu are other long rivers. Piduruthalagala is the tallest mountain. Namunukula,Samanala and Kirigalpoththa are tall mountains as well.
Sri Lanka is a socialist Democratic country. Mr Maithripala Sirisena is our present president. Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte is the capital city of Sri Lanka and the commercial city is Colombo. Buddhism is our main religion. Many people are Sinhalese. There are Tamil,Muslim,Burghers too.The Temple the Tooth Relic, Sri Jaya Maha Bodhi, Sigiriya, are few sacred places in Sri Lanka. I love my country very much and I'm also bound to protect it.
But my motherland is not Sri Lanka, I am from other place but Asian.
