Ashok Metha committee came up with the idea of Nyaya panchayat establishment.
The whole work was done in the year 1977 December.
Nyaya Panchayat as the name suggests is for the rural region which works to solve the disputes or common problem of the village people.
They are in charge of the minor and civil criminal cases.
