Esteriification = It is a reaction which are carboxylic acid combines with an alcohol to form an Ester. Esterification takes place in the presence of a catalyst like Concentrated Sulphuric Acid.

Saponification = The process of making soap by hydrolysis of fats and oils with alkalis is called saponification.
