The sum of the given numbers to the nearest ten thousand.

Solution :

First we round off both the numbers to the nearest ten thousand

First number is 157826

The place value is ten thousand, the digit in ten thousand place is 5 and the digit to the right is 7 > 5  

By adding 1 to 5 = 5 + 1 = 6

Now change the digits to the right after 16 to 0

157826 ≈ 160000

Similarly the second number is 32469.

The place value is ten thousand, the digit in ten thousand place is 3 and the digit to the right is 2 < 5

the digit 2 will change to 0

32469 ≈ 30000

Now add both the numbers = 160000 + 30000

                                              = 190000

Answer will be 1,90,000.
