The value of q = 0.6 and r = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Euclid’s division lemma states for any two positive integers a and b, there exists integers q and r such that a = bq + r

if a = 5  and  b = 8

a will be dividend and b is divisor on dividing a by b we get

quotient = 0.6 and remainder = 2

therefore

a = bq + r

5= 8(0.6) + 2

hence , The value of q = 0.6 and r = 2
