Eukaryotic cell and prokaryotic cell differences
Answers
Answer:
Prokaryotic cells- The nucleus of the organism is not well-organised like the cells of multicellular organisms. The cells having nuclear material without nuclear membrane are termed as prokaryotic cells or prokaryotes. Eg.Bacteria and blue green algae.
Eukaryotic cells- The cells having a well-organized nucleus with a nuclear membrane are known as eukaryotic cells or eukaryotes. Eg.All the organisms other than blue green algae & bacteria.
Answer
prokaryotic cell
size of cell is generally small.
true nucleus is absent.(Nuclear region or nucleoid is not surrounded by nuclear membrane).
It contains single chromosome.
Nucleolus is absent.
Membrane bounded cell organelles are absent.
eg archaebacteria, bacteria , cyanobacteria,etc.
Eukaryotic cell
Size is generally large (5-10mm).
True nucleus is present (Nuclear region is surrounded by nuclear membrane).
It contains more than one chromosome.
Nucleolus is present.
Membrane bounded cell organelles such as mitochondria, plastids, etc are present.
eg. humans, sponge,fungi,etc.
