but product of roots = c/a = -2

sum of roots = - b/a = -1 (1)

therefore our value is ,

beta- alpha / 2 (2)

from (1) ,

alpha + beta = -1

therefore , - alpha = 1+ beta

substuting in (2)

(2beta +1) /2

by formula for finding out roots ,

beta =1 or -2

therefore, above problem has two solutions,

I.e 3/2 & -3/2
