Sulphur is not an alkaline element.

On periodic table on moving from left to right acidic character increases while basic (alkaline) character decreases.

Here Sodium (Na), Potassium (K) and Lithium (Li) belongs to group first.

But Sulphur (S) belongs to group 16.

That's why Sulphur is not an alkaline.

Hope it helps.
