Question :- Evaluate :--- 9^0 and 6^-2 .

Solution :-

First :- 9^0

we know that,

  • Any number raised to the power of 0 equals to 1.
  • a^0 = 1 .

so,

→ 9^0 is equal to 1 . (Ans.)

Second :- 6^(-2)

we know that,

  • A negative exponent means repeated division by the base.
  • a^(-m) = 1/a^m .

so,

→ 6^(-2)

→ 1/6²

(1/36) (Ans.)

Evaluate--- 9^0. and 6^-2

Solution:

1) {9}^{0}

In zero exponent property, a^0 =1. So, the required answer of the given term is 1.

 =  >  {9}^{0}  = 1

 2) {6}^{ - 2}

In Negative Exponent property, a^-x = 1/a^x.

 =  >  {6}^{ - 2}  =  \dfrac{1}{ {6}^{2} }

 =  >  \dfrac{1}{6 \times 6}

 =  \dfrac{1}{36}
