Answer:

a = 2 - 4b =4 x 1 = 4 + 2

we can simplify this

2 - 4 + 2

so, 2+2 - 4 (we take 2+ 2 by just getting last 2 to first 2 )

= 2+2-4 = 4-4 =0

In context to questions asked,

We have to determine the value of the given expression.

As per questions,

It is given that,

a - 4b + 2

We have to determine the value of expression when a = 2, b = 1

So, for determining the value we will put the value of a and b in above expression.

Thus we will get,

a - 4b + 2 \\  =  > 2 - (4 \times 1) + 2 \\  =  > 2 - 4 + 2 \\  =  > 4 - 4 \\  =  > 0

Hence, value of the expression will be 0
