(2x+y) (2x-y)

Using the identity (a+b)(a-b) = a² - b²

Here , a = 2x and b=y

so , (2x+y)(2x-y)

= (2x)² -(y)²

= 4x² - y²

Check without using Identity:

(2x+y)(2x-y)

= 2x(2x-y) +y(2x-y)

= 4x² - 2xy + 2xy - y²

= 4x² - y²

Some other identities:

★ (a+b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

★ (a-b)² = a² + b² -2ab

★ (a+b+c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2ab + 2bc +2ca
