The function of digestive system is to digest the food particles and convert it into glucose.

This glucose is then used during respiration to obtain energy by oxidising glucose.This energy is used to perform aal the external and internal activities of body.

Therefore if digestive system stops funtioning, energy is not produced and thereby all other life processes including double circulation would not undergo.
