Let a = 3, b = 4, and c = -2

1. \: 7a \\ = 7 \times 3 \\ = 21

2. \: a + 3b \\ 3 + 3 \times 4 \\ = 3 + 12 \\ = 15

a {}^{2} + b {}^{2} + c {}^{2} \\ = 3 {}^{2} + 4 {}^{2} + ( - 2) {}^{2} \\ = 9 + 16 + 4 \\ = 29
